As a Panel Beater / Body Repairer you will be responsible for repairs to the Transdev John Holland Bus fleet at our Port Botany depot (free site and street parking available).

 

Your work will support the public transport industry across bus Region 9 in Sydney’s iconic Eastern Suburbs. Your skills will support the connection between families, friends, and future generations. Help us deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable journeys.

About you:

Current NSW MVTC Body Repairer trade certificate (essential requirement)

Current HR licence (or current C class licence and have the ability to get an HR licence)

Computer literacy with the ability to record accurate maintenance information.

Capability of supervising and assisting to train apprentices and trade assistants.

Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable). 

 

 

Job description: 

Construct and repair metal bus bodies using hand tools and power tools.

Accident repair, glass replacement including windscreens & windows, fleet refurbishment, painting new and repaired parts and painting interiors.

Ensure bus presentation meets vehicle presentation standards.

Follow all bus body repair procedures practices to ensure all Operational requirements are met.

 

Hours of work:

After an initial training period on day shift you will commence a 2-week rotating roster to work the following:

6am-2.30pm

and

10.30am-7pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift)

and

11.30am – 8pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift)

 

Please note that candidates who cannot provide a copy of a current NSW MVTC Body Repairer trade certificate will not be considered for this role
