As a Workshop Auto Electrician you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of the Transdev John Holland Bus fleet across all of our 3 bus depots at Port Botany, Randwick and Waverley (near Bondi Junction). 

Your work will support the public transport industry across bus Region 9 in Sydney’s iconic Eastern Suburbs. Your skills will support the connection between families, friends, and future generations. Help us deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable journeys.

About you:

Current NSW MVTC Auto Electrician trade certificate (essential requirement)

Current HR licence (or current C class licence and have the ability to get an HR licence)

Computer literacy with the ability to record accurate maintenance information.

Experience with scan tools is essential

Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable). 

 

 

Job description: 

Perform operations on machinery or equipment, which utilises complex electrical / electronic circuitry controls. Work on complex control systems, which involve combinations of electrical, electronic, mechanical or fluid power principles.

Work on, and diagnose faults in electrical and computer-controlled systems, communications, vehicle monitoring/tracking, CCTV and other similar vehicle equipment.

Operate a range of equipment and tools in order to undertake vehicle maintenance such as diagnostic computers/tools, multimeters, load testing, lifting and materials handling equipment.

 

  

Hours of work:

You will work a 2-week rotating roster:

6am -2.30pm 

and

10.30am – 7pm (15% shift loading is paid for the whole shift).

Please note there is an optional overtime shift (approximately once a month) to work on a Sunday from 2.30pm – 10.30pm. You will be required to travel to all 3 depots while on this shift.

Candidates who cannot provide a copy of a current NSW MVTC Auto Electrician trade certificate will not be considered for this role

The role will involve regular travel between our Port Botany, Randwick and Waverley depots (with Port Botany as the base depot).
